Xuan Sports Chinese New Year Celebration & Carnival 2025
The spirit of the Lunar New Year came alive at Xuan Sports @ Joo Koon on February 16, as families and friends gathered for an evening filled with festive joy, exciting games, and traditional customs. The event was a spectacular way to welcome the Year of the Snake, bringing together our Xuan Sports community for a night of fun, laughter, and cultural celebration.
A Festive Start to the Evening
The Carnival kicked off at 5:00 PM, transforming our venue into a wonderland for kids and families. The air buzzed with excitement as children explored an array of carnival games, from bouncy castles to dart balloons, ball rolling pits, and engaging tabletop games. The vibrant atmosphere set the perfect tone for the celebration.
At 5:30 PM, the crowd gathered for an opening speech, officially welcoming everyone to the event. This moment marked the beginning of an evening filled with traditions, blessings, and unforgettable memories.
Following the speech, at 5:40 PM, the excitement peaked with our CNY Lucky Draw, where participants eagerly awaited their chance to win fantastic prizes. The thrill of anticipation and cheers of celebration filled the room as lucky winners claimed their rewards.
Tradition and Togetherness
Following the lucky draw, the highly anticipated Ang Bao Giving Ceremony took place at 6:00 PM. This age-old tradition symbolizes the sharing of blessings and prosperity for the year ahead. Smiles lit up the faces of our young participants as they received their lucky red packets, a cherished highlight of the event.
As the evening progressed, at 6:10 PM, everyone gathered for a Group Photo, capturing the joyous spirit of the celebration. The camaraderie and energy of the Xuan Sports family shone through as we commemorated this special occasion together.
Exciting Moments and Grand Finale
The night reached an exciting crescendo with a Dragon Dance Performance by Siaw Lim Hood Sun Thong at 7:00 PM. The mesmerizing movements of the dragon, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the drums, symbolized power and prosperity, leaving the audience in awe.
Following the dragon dance, at 7:30 PM, the event reached its grand finale with a Lion Dance Performance. The powerful drumming and vibrant lion movements captivated the audience, blessing everyone with good fortune and success for the year ahead. The rhythmic beats and lively performance brought an energetic close to a truly magical evening.
By 8:00 PM, as the carnival came to an end, attendees left with hearts full of joy, hands full of prizes, and spirits lifted by the warmth of the celebration.
A Community United in Celebration
Dressed in red Xuan Training Tees, participants embraced the festive traditions, exchanging mandarin oranges as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. The event was more than just a celebrationโit was a reflection of the strong bonds within the Xuan Sports family, where traditions are honored, friendships are strengthened, and the new year is welcomed with open hearts.
