CONGRATULATIONS to Skyla for being awarded with The Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence (LKY-ARE). Skyla is an exemplary example of Xuan Sports' value (宣扬道德，文武双全) of excelling in both the physical and mental aspects, being a promising scholar & athlete at the same time.

The Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence (LKY-ARE) The LKY-ARE is a national-level award for achievement in education that has been presented to secondary school students since 2005. It recognises well-rounded students who have excelled in both academic and non-academic spheres, and who exemplify the qualities articulated in our desired outcomes of education. To encourage and recognise the efforts and achievements of students at the early stage of their education journey, the LKY-ARE has been extended to primary school students from 2017. 

Ever since Skyla was in kindergarten, he has been visiting the old folks at Redhill monthly to distribute food and necessities. He also gave tuition to a few underprivileged kids for a few years. 

From primary one, Skyla has shown great interest in Wushu and he started training competitively. He has won multiple gold medals in major competitions such as the National School Games and Xuan Sports Year End Assessment. 

Once again, congratulations to Skyla and we hope that he can continue to excel and inspire younger Wushu athletes to be like him.
