Since his youth, Pek Chuan has been fascinated by sports and martial arts. After his military service, Pek Chuan continued his studies at the University of Western Australia. He graduated with honours in electrical and electronic engineering.

After graduation, he began a career as an engineer. While working as an electrical engineer, Pek Chuan did not forget his passion for sports and martial arts. He decided to work in the Ministry of Education as a physical education teacher. In 2002, he became a secondary school teacher. To further develop his educational work with younger children, he became a primary school teacher in 2017. During his teaching career at schools, he was the teacher in charge of various sports and martial arts CCA. He also started learning Aikido and earned his black belt. Pek Chuan 21 years of experience as a PE teacher allows him to develop his passion for teaching sports and basic movement to children, managing sporting events and working with young children.
