Randall - Yin Shuen - Nicholas - Xuan Sports

This is it, the final day of the 6th World Junior Wushu Championships 2016. It was a day of exhilarating action and emotions as our athletes fought their hardest in this final battle for the championship.

All three Xuan athletes, Randall, Nicholas and Yin Shuen had their final events today.

Randall - Nangun - 6th World Junior Wushu Championships 2016 - Xuan Sports

Randall earned a 4th place in the fiercely fought Boys Nangun B event. He faced strong competitors in this event with the champion having a score of 9.02! Unfortunately, Randall painfully lost the bronze medal as a result of a mistake in his movement in the taolu, resulting in a deduction of 0.1 point. Nonetheless, he has displayed good sportsmanship and discpline in the competition and we are proud of him.

Nicholas - Daoshu - 6th World Junior Wushu Championships 2016 - Xuan Sports

In the Boys Daoshu C, Nicholas surpassed his previous results in the World Junior Wushu Championships and won a Gold for Singapore! This is excellent result for Team Singapore and also a recognition of the effort that went behind Nicholas' preparation for this competition. The Xuan family is proud to announce that we finally have a World Junior Champion amongst us!

Yin Shuen - Qiangshu - 6th World Junior Wushu Championships 2016 - Xuan Sports

Yin Shuen finished the competition with her last event, Girls Qiangshu B. This time round, she was placed 4th in the Girls Qiangshu B event and we are happy for her performance.

Here, we would like to congratulate two other athletes, Malcolm Lai and Zoe Tan who have won Gold medals for Team Singapore in their events. Overall, all hail to Team Singapore which has collected a total of 5 Golds and 2 Silvers in this competition! This is indeed a fruitful outing for Team Singapore!

Last but not least, a shout out to ALL THREE of our Xuan athletes - Nicholas, Randall & Yin Shuen - we are VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!
